This is a fantastic bean! May even be my new favorite…The chocolatey nutty flavor is so delicious, with the perfect amount of acidity. And the body of this bean seriously is full! Roasted to medium and could not be happier. Amazing flavor and aftertaste. I am blown away considering how cheap this is. It will probably become my new staple in the house.

The best of the Brazilian coffees. Smooth and creamy with a rich flavor and sweet after taste. Very enjoyable and balanced and has a nice aroma. Will be buying more.

Brazilian coffees are some of the most interesting in my opinion. Some will argue that Kenya has the best coffee, but I tend not to like it as being too "winey." Brazil coffees, especially this one, make one aware why coffee is a nut. It ranges from nutty in lighter roasts to chocolatey as one goes darker. I drink this as single origin. It is also excellent, to my palate, in a blend with a dirty Sumatra Mendehling or an Indian Monsooned Malabar.

I was looking for bean I could roast medium to slightly medium-dark that would have a smooth, nutty finish. This bean turned out to be perfect! Highly recommended.

The chocolate nuttiness that you would expect from a South American but with a surprisingly bright sweet creaminess that leaves your palate begging for another cup!

Hands down my new favorite. The other Brazil coffees I've tried weren't bad by any means but had a weak bright flavor. This one is complex and very earthy, and actually fits the description of nutty and chocolatey. Its earthiness is not as pungent as Sumatran coffee. It's very similar in feel to a nice medium flavor cigar. It has notes of pecan, walnut, and European style milk chocolate. Fantastic to drink black, or with half and half. Roasted to full city.

Roasted in a Gene Cafe - city roast. Rested for a little over 24 hours. Made a pot in a MoccaMaster. Chocolate flavor, mouthfeel, nuttiness were profound for such a fairly priced bean. I will be buying more.

Roasted 10 oz. just into 2C. Post-roasting weight right at 15% less, which is fairly typical. Produced a very pleasant Pour Over (no precise ratio). Smooth and nutty with great body and aroma.

Nice afternoon coffee. Roasted this batch just into 2C in an air popper. Good flavor, will buy more in the future.

Really enjoying this bean. Roasted the first batch (air popper) just short of 2C (about 18% weight loss) and it was so-so. Roasted another batch a little lighter (1 minute out of 1C, about 16% weight loss) and it's much better, on the sweeter side and extremely nutty. Seriously like chomping on a handful of raw hazelnuts. This makes a great SO brew and will be my new favorite for adding nuttiness to my blends.

Not a bad thing to say about this one. I roast about 2 min past first crack and the chocolate and nutty notes just pop!!!

I really liked this one, the wife didn't enjoy it quite as much. We roast light, just past first crack so not sure about darker roasts, but this is pretty decent and was easy to roast.

Super chocolatey and nutty. I've made a few batches - take it a minute or so past first crack to a nice medium roast. Great alone, or blend it with some Robusta and a central American washed process if you want to tone down the chocolate and nuts (and get a little more traditional coffee-tasting).

Great Bean for a medium roast. Crisp and nutty flavor. Nice aroma to wake up to. This bean has increased our coffee consumption. Good for us novice roasters.

Very good staple coffee. Very clean in the cup with loads of dark chocolate and roasted nut flavor. Personally, I love this at a medium roast. Overall just a great cup

These roast beautifully in my little Gene. Great sweet flavor, lotsa body and cheap enough to make it a consistent go to. Would highly recommend these, especially at a City Roast

I really like it. I hand-roast to very dark and enjoy every cup. I hand-grind and brew it pour-over and Bialetti moka.

Smooth, rich, chocolatey. Easy to roast. I’m spoiled. I don’t think I can ever buy roasted coffee beans again.

This is a fantastic coffee. It's delivers 100% of what's expected in a Brazilian. The natural process reflects a good sweetness and the character of the coffee is almost too strong. Think of an Chardonnay aged in an oak barrel, and you tasted nothing but the oak. I found the city roast to be perfect, going any longer burned out he character. I have blended it with another Brazilian and one other coffee (ssshhh) and it is my best seller. It has a natural sweetness and the strongest note is roasted peanut, just better. No acidity, but a full bodied taste... Love it. Ronnie at Vino Caffeen'O

Love this coffee. It was our first time roasting it and we were not let down. First roast was a mildly dark medium roast and it glowed. Low acidity, full bodied with complex flavors; earthy, dark oats, with a natural sweetness. The finish is smooth and lasting. Second roast was a bit darker, city roast which was very good but discovered that roasting only about a minute longer in the same profile cooked away many of the nuances of the medium roast. Have not tried a full city roast and probably would be reluctant to do so. The medium roast is a great stand alone coffee but I feel it would be perfect if blended with a dark roast Tanzanian or Colombian that would lend it a little edginess.

Very good, sweet bean. I roasted this bean medium light, then medium. It has a sweet taste I really enjoy. When mixing with stronger tasting beans it compliments very well. Also gives a nutty flavor. On its own it’s good, not the top bean I’ve had from Brazil, but it’s a good bean and I am considering buying larger quantities of it to sell and mix.
