Smooth cup. Perfect for my morning activity working online. I'm not one that is looking for "cupping" tones, just want a good cup of coffee, and this fits the bill.

ROASTED 1LB LAST NIGHT IN A NON STICK FRENCH CULINARY PAN W GLASS LID.
LOW METWEEN LOW & MEDIUM FLAME.
WHEN I SAW MOISTURE UNDER LID I REMOVED AND STIRRED W LARGE WOODEN SPOON.
DID THIS 2 TIMES THEN UPPED THE FLAME SLIGHTLY CLOSER TO MEDIUM.
BEANS STARTED CRACKING SLOWLY WHILE I CONTINUED STIRRING FROM THE PERIMATER TO THE INSIDE.AFTER 15 -20 MINUTES I HAD 50/50 MEDIUM TO DARK BEANS.
I REMOVED FROM HEAT & LET COOL ON A CERAMIC DINNER PLATE.
AFTER COOLING TO ROOM TEMPERATURE I PUT THE 1LB BEANS IN A AIRTIGHT GLASS CONTAINER.
14 HRS LATER I GROUND BEANS TO A FLOUR CONSISTENCY.ADDED WATER AND THE COFFEE MAKER WAS A NINJA SET AT RICH BREW.
I LIKE MY COFFEE DARK RICH & SMOOTH.
THIS BEAN FOR ME NEEDS TO HAVE MORE GROUND BEANS TO 1 CUP SPARKLETTS WATER.
AFTER MIXING W WHIPPING CREAM & SUGAR TO TASTE I REALIZED IT WAS TOO WEAK FOR ME.
I STARTED OVER MAKING 1 CUP W 2 HEAPING TBLESPOONS OF GROUND PAPA NEW GUINEA BEANS. WOW! RICH,DARK,SMOOTH & A LITTLE TOO 💪 STRONG.
OK SO THIS COFFEE ROASTING IS DEFINATELY A SCIENCE!
I INVENT CHEMICALS FOR THE POLISHED CONCRETE INDUSTRY!

Rpasted to medium and also to second crack. Very smooth. Have used for turkish coffee and regular pour over. Profile listed is accurate, and really enjoy the chocolate and earthy notes with the slight nuttiness. Pairs well with almost anything, and if roasted darker stands up to "flavorings." Good for regular morning cup, Turkish, Cuban, or for a great finish to a pastry.

My new favorite bean for espresso! It’s great in lattes, with milk! Smooth, earthy, chocolate, sweet, nutty, and has nice crema too!
I had to reorder!

I roasted this with an Ethiopian variety on my cast iron to second crack. I love it, the flavors blend will with the Ethiopian, great full body, cocoa hints and a slight sweetness to it. It is divine!

This is my go to bean right now. I’m a new home roaster and this bean has been easy to “get right”. I roast for about 1:20min after FC for a medium roast and love it. I get Very consistent results. Love the flavor and aromas from this bean. I mostly make espresso based drinks, but occasionally do a pour over and this bean is great for both.

I love a dark roast and this bean is perfect. I took it to 435F and it had a wonderful deep flavor, low acidity and notes of cacao. This makes a fabulous cold brew!

I've gotten a lot of great beans here but this varietal is the first one that my husband has gone wild over. Smooth, slightly sweet & nutty and absolutely lovely at City roast. One of my favorites!

This is one of my favorites. Roasted to just after second crack. Smooth coffee with mild chocolate notes.

If I give every coffee five stars it’s only because I chose coffees which fit my tastes based on the descriptions by Corral and other reviews. I generally don’t get Papua New Guinea or Sumatran- I don’t know why. Can’t stand beet root or mushrooms either. It’s a taste thing. I’ve been trying a few coffees not my favorites as comparison and finding they are really good. This does have some stronger flavors but smoothed out after a few more days resting. Very dark roast with lots of smoke. Very aromatic when grinding.

Papua New Guinea is my go to bean for roasting. I find it less acidic than some others I have roasted and stands up well to a darker roasting, more nutty with medium roast. I am never disappointed with this one.

I am not a coffee connoisseur, but I roast my own coffee and don't drink anything I haven't roasted, ground and brewed myself. This is one of my very favorites, with its hearty earthiness and hints of chocolate. I always shoot for a medium roast on my Behmor, about 120-150 seconds after first crack on a 300 to 325 gram batch.

I like my coffee's dark roast and this one is incredible. It is very tasty but never bitter. Served it to friends who raved! I will definately order this one again.

This may be my favorite coffee I've bought to roast in the past who knows how long. Full bodied, smooth, beautiful cacao notes. Very mocca-java. Buying a bunch more!, just a great morning cup.
This is my Christmas coffee gift roast!

I recently received an 8-oz sampler bag of Papua New Guinea Organic Purosa AX FTO. I pre-heated my roaster, and then roasted the beans for 12 minutes at 225. It yielded a delicious full-bodied dark roast with no detectable unpleasant aftertaste. Also gave me laser-like focus. I plan on buying a 50-lb bag of it.

Even with a dark roast this one does not get bitter. The cocoa flavor at the end caps it off just right. I would say this one would be a regular in our monthly purchases except we are running across too many beans that are great. Still we will be purchasing again.

This is my favorite coffee. I love it medium just before second crack or right when it starts. Behmore is my roaster .

Of all of the PNG varieties out there the Purosa AX FTO has been my go to for the ultra dark Italian roast. It has a very smooth finish and maybe not "complex" but well rounded taste. I'm not a huge cold brew fan normally but the PNG Purosa worked well and made a really good cup too. Coffee Bean Corral has been by far a great company to deal with and has a great sampler collection if you are unsure of where to start in your coffee roasting adventures. Good luck a keep experimenting.

I am giving this 4 stars because the taste is spot on. Truly good.
It loses a star because of the consistency of bean quality. I need to sift out a handful of bad beans in each 1/4 lb of beans that I roast. The size of bean is small to extra large. Granted, this is marked organic - I can’t judge it too harsh.

This is a great bean at any roast level, but I like it best just before second crack starts. PNG is one of my favorites, and this particular bean does not disappoint.
