Just found a "lost" partial bag of this from a previous order, tucked away behind my other CBC green beans. Found treasure! I had to roast a batch immediately in my West Bend Poppery to the start of 2nd crack; then press it through my Nanopresso while the beans were still warm because I was a bit too excited to wait. It did not disappoint! Delicious!!
While my wife and I, our family, and friends enjoy the variety of beans I roast, this one is my special treat... a smell/taste experience! Savoring it brings back memories of visiting Jamaica and tasting their wonderful blue mountain coffee, but without the high price tag.
I highly recommend drinking coffee from a cafe cup that allows you to take in the aroma as you sip. The aroma of a great coffee like this is a major component of the experience!
Thanks, CBC for offering this superb bean at a great value.

Stopped roasting just before second crack on a Gene Cafe and allowed to degas for 48 hours. Made my pour over and what a wonderful smooth cup of coffee. It is exactly as described...smooth, buttery, low acidity with a very clean finish. Thanks Coffee Bean Corral!

Dark roasted, couldn't wait, drank it 24 hrs. after roasting. If it's this good after one day. Believe the hype.

Good beans, which one of our regulars requested for a special Christmas present for her brother. Buy them.
Had a problem with our order at first, but Catherine Mansell stepped in and took care of everything.
The presentation on the shipping is beautiful.

Roasted to 2nd crack on stove top. First day it had a slightly savory, peppery flavor. Days 2-3 and beyond developed a peanut butter flavor that was superb. Loved it in latte.

Organic Haitian Blue is a great way to get an idea of how good Jamaican blue mountain is. Compared to Kenyan Blue mountain, it's less robust but less acidic and rich in flavor. Medium roast is recommended with at least 36 hrs to de-gas before grinding. Try it You won't be disappointed.

Just "Wow". Roasted 1/2# at City+, pulled 30 seconds after 1st crack, the other 1/2# at Full City, pulled immediately after 2nd crack, in an SR800 with extension tube. The 1st thing that you notice is the mouthfeel. Smooth, buttery and full-bodied, similar to Kona or JBM. No specific flavor jumps out, maybe slightly nutty, but nothing overpowering. Really quite subtle. Speaks to the balance this bean possesses. Both roasts had similar attributes, the darker roast was just a tad earthier and roaster. Wouldn't have wanted to go any darker and compromise the flavor in the bean. Just a delightful cup.

Second review:
Second roast went well into Full City + with second crack occurring a good 5-8 seconds, a bit more than the first roast as I wanted a little more body.
Tagged and bagged it and after a day just a bit of oils were seeping out. As the days passed (and I drank more and more) the oils seeped out a bit more. After about 5 days it really matured and I found myself drinking cup after cup after cup I couldn't get enough. Will finish roasting what is left today.
Don't think twice about ordering this.

Great coffee. Took it right up to the 2nd crack and immediately put it into a cooling cycle. I like to keep it open to the air for a couple of days for a solid cure before the grind. It was delicious! Very mellow with a darker, nuttier flavor. Smooth and complex with under tones of dark chocolate. Lowly acidic with a sweet finish, I would cup this in the High 80’s maybe even the low 90’s. It’s a keeper!

I usually roast beyond Full City + and well into second crack however with this bean per reviews I roasted just to Full City +. I think second crack went for 2-3 seconds. I tagged and bagged it and cheated by brewing a cup the next day and it was really good. I believe it will only cure-out even better in the next few days.
Per usual Coffee Bean Corral delivered and I will never buy beans from anyone else. I got a notice of shipment within 15 minutes of the order and it arrived a day earlier than expected all the way to Phoenix.
@Ray Cotter, (and anyone), whenever you end up with a really bad result this is usually the result of a stalled FC. I've had this happen a few times myself due to negligence on my part during the roast.

We roasted our first pound of this the other night, and tried it this morning. We did a medium roast in our Behmor, just past first crack. Our first impression was "Wow, this is really good." Then we tried another sip, and we said, "Wow, this is really good." Creamy, smooth, not acidic and slightly nutty, it's hands down one of the best coffees we have tried. Haitian Blue will go into our regular rotation - it's a keeper.

This is absolutely one of the best coffees we've ever had. We do all of our roasts just past first crack so I can't speak for darker roasts but this was just fantastic and well worth the couple extra bucks.

I ordered several times the Haiti coffee since 2020. Roasted to city for my ice dripping or V60 (three days after roasting) or to full city for expresso (19 days after roasting). Haiti coffee is perhaps the closest one to Jamaica Blue Mountain in terms of balance, brightness and sweetness, but with only a fraction of the cost. Will certainly roast more at as as the supply lasts.

This coffee is so good. With my SR540 I dialed in the roast, fast high heat and aggressive. City roast. So good. Full body, layers of flavors. One of, if not my favorite bean.

As a new connoisseur of fresh home roasted coffees, I have been tasting and comparing extensively. After trying over 40 varieties, this coffee is by far my favorite and easily stacks up against Jamaican and Hawaiian varieties.

Not a fan. I won’t be re-ordering this coffee. There was simply no life to it.
Jamaican BlueMountain was also a big disappointment. I will not be ordering any more Caribbean coffee. I think it’s overrated.

BUY! THIS! BEAN!
Smooth and bold, roasted to medium/dark giving chocolate and nutty flavors. Beautiful aroma. It is a good alternative if you like Jamaican Blue. Great hot or cold.

Roasted to medium roast. Bad aroma when ground. Bad taste. Bad smell when brewing. Only coffee I have bought from this site that I had to throw away. Really awful coffee.

I am a novice roaster. I tried this at medium and medium dark roasts, and it was good but meh, didn't see what all the hype was. Then I tried it at a lighter roast, just after first crack, and now I understand. It was a delicious cup o joe. This one grew on me, and was better after around four days of rest. Mild but distinct flavor profile. I would purchase it again.

Save your money. Tried it at medium and medium dark roasts. Tasted the same either way....like sucking on a wood stick. The Mexican beans are better.

I didn't do a good job roasting these beans. I was experimenting with profiles on the Behmor 1600. Rookie move with a good bean. I should leave experiments to inexpensive products. However, the coffee turned out great! Very forgiving thank God! Mellow and smooth. If a novice like me can make this work, you can too!. The beans seemed fresh and clean. Already placed another order. (I'll let you know how the JBM roast goes)

A little more expensive compared to other Caribbean coffees, but this is the same variety that gives us Jamaican Green Mountain and Hawaiian Kona so it is still a bargain.
It still comes out to pennies a cup and this is life, not a dress rehearsal, so drink up!!!
