Customer Reviews
The CBC description is on target. I roast to full city which is where I prefer Sumatrans. Very earthy with a full body, just the way I like it. Probably not for people who like fruity coffees. Not sure why others had quality issues with the beans? Every time I've ordered this it's been great. If you like earthy coffees that are full bodied then this is for you.
Our customers speak highly of coffee, the often times buy 2 bags on for them and one to share! It is bold yet smooth. Eye pleasing bean after roasted. Lovely to watch bloom when brewing as a cone. Smells amazing also. Excellent dark roast.
Dave Cummings Not my favorite Sumatra but good as a SO coffee by itself or in a blend. A good clean taste when hot and interesting after tastes as it cools. I don’t consider my palette that sophisticated where I could taste the CBC description (what is cedar supposed to taste like?). But it did have a nice little peppery overtone and the usual earthy Sumarta flavor in the background. I would definitely server this to guests at breakfast or for an after dinner coffee. Roasted on a K2+ Hoptop. 250g. 1stC at 9:26 (358F) 1Ce at 10:48 (378F) dropped 10:58. Came out as between City and City+ Roast. Let it rest two days Ground course with a Hario Conical Burr Grinder. Brewed in AeroPress with 15 grams (two sccops) and 8-grams in a single-serve Mr Coffee pour-over
