Initially roasted to a light sample on my Ikawa Pro100 that typically works with most washed coffees. It was very acidic and underdeveloped. So I used an elongated espresso profile and got a better cup out of it. After several roasts to dial it in, I feel it is just not the coffee for me. Very acidic and by the time I’m able to roast it to the point where the acid is not overpowering then most of the complexity is gone. This is a decent choice perhaps for those that like to go darker, but not nearly as good as Coffee Bean Corral’s El Gato Supremo for a light to medium roast in my opinion.

I have gotten a couple different beans from different places and these beans are by far the best! I’ve tried it at a medium dark to an espresso roast and no matter what I do it taste absolutely incredible! It’s extremely smooth with no bitter aftertaste. My mom who is not a coffee drinker was able to try this coffee and recognize its flavor!

Very Powerful cup of coffee in regards to caffeine...however underwhelming in aroma and character. Roasted it to a med-dark prior to display of oil. Clean and simple, but not impressive.

Another really solid coffee. Columbian coffee seems to have acquired an almost 'generic' label over the years, due to every Tom, Dick, and Harry coffee roaster using the name to promote their product. But this is real quality Columbian. Took to about City+ on an SR800. Full, very rich aroma and taste. Fairly bold, somewhat sweet, nutty, and chocolatey. Again, really rich, almost decadent. As noted in a prior review, the flavors really do develop as you drink it, and stay with you for a while after. Very, very good.

If you don’t thoroughly understand, and know, EXACTLY what you’re seeking in your cup of coffee, don’t buy these beans! I KNOW coffee, and OMG they’re worth every CENT of their cost to me! The taste of my first medium dark roast, hit me so hard I had to sit down, and I remained frozen in place for several minutes as it exploded in my mouth! I wouldn’t miss this experience for the world BUT I’ll strongly suggest that you work with all the REST before you try the BEST, because it’s only by comparison that you’ll understand how incredibly excellent these beans ARE!

Great coffee bean. To me it is a balanced taste roasted as a medium-dark. This is the second time I bought bean and will continue to buy!

Very nice. In espresso/milk drinks a light roast gives taste of honey, medium roast gives a nice Carmel flavor and dark gives chocolate taste.

I started doing business with Coffee Bean Corral just recently. This was my second order and I am very pleased with the quality of the green beans and their quick prompt service and delivery. I started roasting my own coffee for personal use and love it as a hobby. The Coffee Corral seems to have a consistent broad range of green coffees to choose from and were able to give me status as to when one of my favorites would be available on the one occasion it was out of stock. With such a good selection I really appreciate that they offer free 1/2 lb samples. My beans have always arrived on time and in good condition. In short Coffee Bean Corral has been one of the bright spots in my coffee roasting experience. A nice smooth mellow coffee at a medium/dark roast, full flavor. Thanks!

Love it. Sure there are lots and lots of exotic coffees to choose from. But, the Columbia Huila Supreme is very easy to roast, tolerant, and hardy when it comes to roasting sensitivities. Great coffee taste. Also, a wonderful green bean for those who are new to roasting.

Just bought 5 lb bag of Colombia Huila Supremo beans recently, and loving the flavors of a dark roast, I roasted in an oven until oils started coming out of the beans. They were amazing! I was able to achieve one of the flavors I love in a dark roast; a mild, but nutty, and sweet taste, with a hint of popcorn flavor. I am going to love experimenting some more. I will buy these again.

Roasted well into second crack, light Vienna, slightly oiled bean surface. Outstanding, mild yet flavorful coffee. Brewed alone as well as blended with Tanzanian Peaberry roasted at French; the blend with the TP was amazing. All gone.

Good value priced beans, made excellent medium and dark roast coffee. Nuttiness and a hint of sweetness that I can't describe, medium acidity made this an extremely accessible taste good for sharing with less adventurous coffee drinkers.

Gave it 5 stars because any problems were mine and my coffee roaster - more mine. I like a darker roast, the Behmor didn't and would shut off with an overheat error. I have a roast of this that's not as dark as I like, but is very good. I bought my Behmor several years ago and they have since upgraded it. I bought and installed the upgrade for my older machine and I am getting roasts that I like. Will be buying this again.

Like the cheaper price. Not your typical Colombian flavor profile due to the fruitiness attributed to it. I roasted two different ways: 1 minute after the end of 1st crack and right before second crack. You definitely taste the fruity notes with the lighter roasts, and the longer you roast they tend to soften but the flavor is still there.

This has become my go to coffee for myself and many of my customers. I typically roast it to a medium or medium-dark using my Fresh Roast SR800. My last purchase was a 25 bag and it came very quick and well packaged. Will definitely order again.

The Huila Supremo is a very good all-day coffee! I find it roasts very consistently batch to batch and provides a very smooth taste with some sweetness and absolutely no bitterness. I’ve been roasting to medium or maybe medium-dark, not quite to the point where the oils appear on the bean surface. This seems to have become my best seller with my customers of my tiny roasting company. They love it too!

I just roasted my first batch of these and am very happy to taste the winey notes.
Took it to dark and shiny the way I like most beans. I'm gonna say ...... the best Columbian I have tasted. I am not a believer in the let it sit a while stuff to degas I like to pull a shot while the beans are still warm just like eating cookies as soon as I can pick em up.
Happy Happy Happy, I can recommend these to anyone who likes dark roast.

I roasted this bean several times. My first few batches were unimpressive. Somewhat bland, non fruited with a bitter finish. I changed my profiles a bit now it’s very delicious. Sweet, flavorful, very clean, full body, hints of spice and cherry. No bitterness. I roast with a high drop temp, dry end at 5 minutes, first crack at 8.5 minutes with a drop of 10.5 minutes. I roast to medium city.

Love it! Getting back into roasting my own green coffee beans and this has so many different flavors depending on the roast time. I usually like dark roast - oily shiny beans but if a medium roast and dark roast are mixed the results are awesome!

I have never been a fan of Columbian coffee beans. I always felt they were overrated. However, when I tried this Colombian I was very impressed. It has become one of my favorites and I order it often. My favorite roast is just to second crack. A very very tasty coffee.
